Information FairWise uses
FairWise may use your email address, profile name, group membership, participants, expenses, payments, balances, receipt images you choose to upload, and related app activity needed to provide the service.
How information is used
This information is used to authenticate users, manage shared groups, calculate balances, record payments, display settlement information, support account deletion requests, and operate the FairWise service.
Contacts
If you choose “Select from Contacts,” FairWise accesses your device’s contacts to help you select a person to invite to a group. Contact access is optional, and you can enter an email address manually instead.
FairWise does not upload, sync, or store your entire address book. Contact information is processed on your device to fill in the invitation form. When you choose to send an invitation, only the selected email address is transmitted and used to create and send the group invitation.
Account deletion
Users can initiate account deletion inside the FairWise app from the Profile tab. If you cannot access the app, you can request help by emailing support@fairwiseapp.com.
